Sandie
Macrae: Elysian Fields (1994)
Sandie Macrae is an artist
concerned with light and its relation to time who works across mediums
from sculpture to video installation. This project was made possible
as a result of a production award from Picture This with the financial
assistance of the Arts Council.
Elysian Fields is a film installation which places the
audience amongst the clouds, allowing people to move among them.
At the same time, she removes the gallery from mundane space into
a more open and voluptuous region. Images of clouds are projected
onto simulated clouds.
