Taanila Sound Cycles consists of six audiovisual works,
which deal with the idea of re-cycling found audio elements. Our
daily environment is flooded with sounds amplified by the media,
but very rarely there's a chance to stop and listen carefully.
Includes works by Christian
Marclay, Ian Helliwell, Juha vanIngen, Janet Merewether and Mark
Boswell.
the works in Persistence
of Memory all have some political, social, cultural, or historical
referent but use narrative to shift the viewers' experience of ‘documentary'
cinema.
Featuring works by Józef
Robakowski, Thando Mama, Yervant Gianikian and Angela Ricci Lucchi
and Pavel Braila.
This programme of work
looks at the unique personal circumstances artists bring to their
practice. The viewer gains a privileged insight into a range of
emotions, actions, landscapes, people and cultures that have been
drawn from the private – from the inside.
