Tom
Marshman : Her Bungalow Heart/ Everybody's Kitchen
Tom Marshman is a performance
artist who is interested in how memory affects consciousness. His
work celebrates the domestic, using everyday objects to explore
that which we often take for granted.
Picture This presents two new moving image works produced by Tom
Marshman in collaboration with artist Anna Lucas and Picture This.
Her Bungalow Heart attempts to commemorate the domestic
environment in which the artists' Nan lived for the last 35 years
of her life. Everybody's Kitchen investigates the emotional
investment in the things we eat. The pieces take their inspiration
from Marshman's Everybody's Companion to Life and Love
- a trilogy of live works presented in Bristol from March to July
2006.
