Mariele Neudecker: Kindertotenlieder
Mariele Neudecker's Kindertotenlieder
is a unique project that fuses contemporary visual arts with classical
music and literature offering a glimpse of nineteenth century cross-art
form collaboration between a musician and a poet and drawing on
universal human themes. The artist will produce a moving image installation
combining Mahler's evocative nineteenth century composition with
Ruckert's Romantic verse.
The project is jointly commissioned
and managed by Opera North Projects, Leeds and Picture This, Bristol
in collaboration with Bonington Gallery, Nottingham and Impressions
Gallery, York.
Funded by Arts Council England.
